I have had a constant battle with my weight for over twenty years and have attended many weight control classes, some successfully some not. My problem was that I was either ‘on’ or ‘off’ a diet and had never really been educated about the benefits of eating a nutritionally balanced diet whilst undertaking a small but regular amount of exercise.
I heard amount Amanda and her new venture through a friend and decided to give it a go as once again I’d gained weight and become uncomfortable about the way I looked and felt. The first appointment I remember Amanda made me feel at ease immediately and because I was in a one to one setting as opposed to a group I felt I was able to open up without feeling embarrassed. I came away from the meeting feeling confident I could follow the nutritional advise given and have also been taking regular exercise, this in turn has meant not only have I lost weight but have become fitter and far more active than I was previously.
Instead of dreading the next weigh in I now look forward to our next meeting and any other new ideas or challenges Amanda has in place for me.

In recent weeks I have been on the healthy eating programme under Mandy’s supervision, due to her help and support I am losing weight each week. I have found that Mandy explains everything very clearly and encourages me to eat healthily and to be more active. I look forward to my visits and am made to feel good about myself. I have been on many diets over the years, where I have lost weight, then put more back on. Mandy has explained that the Be Fit and Healthy, healthy weight programme is not a diet but a change of lifestyle. I would recommend Mandy to anyone wishing to lose weight healthily and I would be confident that they would achieve their goal, with all the help and support they need.
I can not stress how happy I am with the professional and caring attitude that Mandy has towards my own personal weight problem.

I have struggled with my weight for many years. Especially since having my daughter, who is now a teenager. I have tried different diet clubs and only ever had short term success. I am what you could call a classic yo-yo dieter.
It has now become extremely important for me to adopt a healthier lifestyle due to ill health. I suffer with kidney problems and high blood pressure.
In the past I have tried to lose weight by myself, with no success, in fact my weigh increased and I am became 3 stone heavier than I wanted to be.
I did not want to return to a diet club because I know; I would not be able to sustain any weight loss. The diet clubs make me feel I’m being deprived of the food I like.
So when I found out about The Tread Mill’s Be Fit and Healthy, weight management programme, I jumped at the chance to enrol. I have always had an aversion to the gym setting; I thought it was for slim, trendy people, not a normal overweight mum like me.
The help and support I have received from Mandy has been immense and even in these few weeks, I have lost weight, much to my surprise!
It doesn’t feel like I’m on a weight management course. Mandy is helping me through the issues that I have with weight and I know when I start an exercise programme with her the weight will drop off.
Thanks to the Be Fit and Healthy concept at The Tread Mill, fitness lounge, I am really looking forwards to my future as a slimmer healthier person.

I have always felt uncomfortable in the gym environment, didn’t enjoy sport at school and wasn’t interested in health and fitness. After a close family member developed heart disease, really due to not looking after himself, I had a bit of a wake up call. I had seen leaflets about The Tread Mill’s healthy weigh program and thought “ok, I’ll give it a go”
So I joined up. I have very little in the way of time, to give up each week, but Mandy has made my program to fit me. If I only have 30 minuets then that’s what we do, I have learnt so much about food and how the body deals with it, I can now make educated decisions about what I eat. The best thing is I don’t feel like I’m on a diet or restricting anything. I have now lost just over a stone, I feel healthier, fitter, more confident and happier with myself.
